Home Maintenance versus Home Improvements
Atlas home improvement projects are often undertaken because something broke. You may be able to start a major bathroom renovation by replacing a leaky bathtub: since you have to replace the tub anyway, why not do the entire room? However, don’t let your home improvement projects be based solely on immediate needs. Proper maintenance will help you avoid future problems. Make sure you inspect every part of your home at least once a year. Make sure the plumbing, electrical wiring, and the roof are all in good condition.

Since the summer of 1990, Tim Allen and the writing/producing team of Carmen Finestra, David McFadzean, and Matt Williams had been working on Home Improvement. Hammer Time was originally proposed as the name of the series’ fictional fix-it show as well as a play on the catchphrase popularized by artist MC Hammer. Allen and his team had already changed the title to Home Improvement by the time ABC committed to the project in early 1991. While filming the first pilot with Frances Fisher in April 1991, Tim Taylor’s show was still called Hammer Time in the shooting script for Home Improvement.
Home equity loan or home equity line of credit?
The second mortgage is similar to each of these. How you choose to proceed is entirely up to you. In a home equity loan, a fixed interest rate is attached to a lump sum of money. Home improvement loans are based on the equity of the home you intend to improve. A home equity line of credit, on the other hand, has a variable rate based on the principal (i.e. loan amount). Home equity lines of credit work similarly to credit cards in that you pay interest every thirty days on the money you take out of your line of credit. Home improvement is an ancient profession and dates back to the dawn of recorded history. The writer Vitruvius (in his famous book De architectura) wrote that he invented the hypocaust in this book. The hypocaust was a system of underfloor heating that was used in the villas of the wealthy in the Roman Empire. A legend has it that he became wealthy by purchasing villas at low prices, adding spas, and reselling them at higher prices after he invented the hypocaust.
